Dave Overthrow's seminars at National Guitar Workshop
JULY
22-27
CONNECTICUT CAMPUS
During this week I will be directing the Bass Summit. I will be offering a seminar
tentatively titled "Funk, Groove, and Expanding the Role of the Bass".
BILLY SHEEHAN will be visiting and will offer a 1-day clinic
/ performance. Students enrolled in the Bass Summit will be offered 1 major
class (3 hours), 1 minor class (1 hour), 1 class with a drummer (2 hours) and
1 hour of "Bass Talk", which is a period that involves all bass classes
and instructors reserved for clinics, performances questions and discussion.
This is the ULTIMATE BASS WEEK!
JULY 29-AUG 3
CONNECTICUT CAMPUS
During this week I will be teaching a seminar encompassing Rock, Rhythm and
Blues. There is a lot of time playing blues and rock oriented blues tunes with
guitar players and drummer. Each day will include 3 hours of class in the morning,
3 hours of jamming and discussion in the afternoon, and unlimited evening jams
and concerts. One performance will be scheduled off campus in either Hartford
CT or New York City.
JUNE 30 - JULY 5
LOS ANGELES CAMPUS
During this week I will be teaching a modern electric bass seminar. It will
be Funking, Rocking, and A LOT of fun!. Oh, and did I say, STU HAMM
will be Visiting and will offer a 1-day clinic/performance. This will
be a fun week.
JULY 7 - 12
LOS ANGELES CAMPUS
During this week I'll be teaching advanced bass classes and look forward to
meeting many great students and people. We always have fun during these Weeks
and students learn a lot about bass, music, and themselves. I hope to see you
there!
